Beautiful Downtown Dubuque Iowa at Night!
A Little About Me...
This is the 27th time I will be starting a school year as a music teacher since graduating from Clarke College in 1986. After graduation I began my career actually going backwards. To explain, my first teaching position was at Resurrection School in Dubuque which is where I attended grade school. Then I was off to be the Vocal Music Director at Beckman Jr/Sr High School in Dyersville, ending my private school teaching career at St. Joseph the Worker in Dubuque in 2001. I entered the public schools and currently enjoy working with the students at Prescott Elementary Charter School. We are an Expeditionary Learning School that infuses the Arts into our school curriculum. This is my 8th year at Prescott and I couldn't be happier!
My husband and I will be married 24 years in December and we have 2 wonderful children, who aren't really children anymore. Our daughter Heidi just turned 21 and will be a junior at the University of Northern Iowa studying Special Education/Elementary Education. She is excited to let the world know that she just got engaged to a wonderful young man, Nate whom she has dated for 5 years. They plan a July wedding in 2016, so we have lots of time to plan. Our son, Daniel is a Senior at Hempstead High School and has yet to decide what and where he wants to do with his life, but it's a sure bet that baseball will be there somewhere.
I am excited to be finishing my Masters Program with Ashford University and look forward to putting into practice all I have learned.
